The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (current Chairman: Akio Toyoda) has unveiled the logo and concept for the JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023 (formerly, the Tokyo Motor Show) to be held at Tokyo Big Sight, in the Ariake district of Koto-ku, Tokyo, from October 26 (Thursday) through November 5 (Sunday), 2023.

The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association U.S. office (JAMA USA) has released its annual contributions update which shows that Japanese-brand automakers have continued to invest in American manufacturing and have cumulatively invested over $60.4 billion since first starting production in 1982. In addition to JAMA's annual contributions data, Dr. Prusa's employment study shows that in 2022 Japanese-brand automakers now support more than 2.29 million U.S. jobs.

The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association U.S. office (JAMA USA) has released its annual contributions update entitled, “40 Years of Manufacturing Excellence in America.” The release highlights how Japanese-brand automakers have established a decades-long legacy of manufacturing excellence in the United States and become an integral part of the U.S. auto industry.

Rajan joins JAMA USA after a 19-year career at Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America Inc. where she most recently served as the Manager of Government Affairs. As Manager of Government Affairs, she provided assessments to executives and senior management of U.S. political, macroeconomic, trade-related and auto industry trends impacting business in the U.S. and other regional markets.

Despite a challenging and unprecedented year, cumulative manufacturing investment increased to $55.8 billion, and employment remained steady at 94,960 direct jobs.

2019-2020 report shows that Japanese-brand automakers now directly provide over 93,000 American jobs and in nearly four decades have cumulatively invested about $51 billion in their U.S. manufacturing facilities.
